Raised on dairy farm where he hit balls from paddock to paddock once his chores were completed, Appleby has become one of golf’s most recognizable names. His stellar career includes 12 international victories, highlighted by eight PGA Tour wins. The Australian known for his laid back demeanour and distinctive style currently ranks among the top 20 on the PGA Tour career money list. During the final round of his victory at the 2010 Greenbrier Classic, Appleby became only the fifth player in PGA Tour history to shoot a 59 in competition. Later in the year, he went on to capture the famed “gold jacket” at the Australian Masters, his first victory on home soil since 2001.
